I almost had a meltdown....viewed my unemployment benefits online and noticed I have 1 week left. HOLY SHIT!!!!! How did this happen?
Anyone out there getting unemployment...listen up- Thanks to Bush and Obama- I can qualify for a Emergency Extention...20 more weeks, then if I still am not working ( god help me ) I can apply for State Emergency extention...another 13 weeks ( this was Bush's doing by the way ) then hear comes Obama...adding another 7 weeks to the 13! So this technically could take me to April 2010. Which at this point...I shoot myself!!
So are you wondering about Cobra? Yeah, well, I knew it was to good to be true ( plus I didnt want to listen to Amy...) So the great reduction in price only lasts 9 months...oh I'm sure you all think, "that's great" Nope! Cobra retro's back your payment to when you were let go...mine being February. I was not eligible until May to use it. So I basically spent $700 for insurance I could not use- Now I have to the end of November- then back up to $400!
I'm calmed down now...heart's beating slower..and now I can go back to Jobing,Monster,Hotjobs, Indeed, Salesgravy, Careerbuilder, The Retail Tool.......and send more resumes to Space...
That's where they go by the way....SPACE!!!
