I cant tell you how excited I was to finally interview for a job that I am SO TOTALLY qualified to do! My interview is at L.A.Fitness ....a gym for those of you who dont workout........
I get there 15 minutes early..Bob ( my interviewer ) is interviewing a "man"while I am filling out a online application. By the time I'm finished, Bob's on to the next "man". This "man" only lasts about 10minutes. My turn!
Bob tells me to wow him.....So I tell him that Destination Maternity layed me off in Feburary ( so I lied...January 31st..it's all the same ) I tell Bob, that's not the worst part of being layed off...it's being layed off when your: #1 IN THE COMPANY FOR THE YEAR...#1 IN THE COMPANY FOR THE MONTH...#1 IN INVENTORY.....#1...IN PROFIT AND LOSSES... and Bob...(I tell him)..I DID THIS ALL IN LESS THAN A YEAR!!!!!!! He was WOWED! After going over the company, how many stores the district would have..he tells me it would be like District Mgr 101
So...does that mean he thinks I can do it? hmmmmm interesting..
So we go over pay...he tells me I was quite bold to throw out the number I did...But I'm worth it
Bob.....he agrees...and tells me I'm probably worth more..Denica thinks he was flirting...
I never even thought of that...hmmmmm.....that's not good?
So my friends...we all know the waiting begins..I will call him Monday and follow up..
Oh..and for those of you who caught on to the "man" thing. I think this could be a sexist industry.
All the people working at the gym were men...except the poor 17 year old girl who swipes your membership card. And as I thought about it ( and you should to if you workout at a gym ) everyone at 24 hour fitness is a man..except the girls that take your card..and of course personal trainers.... think about...
